Used clothes collections.
Formerly college – now closed in mysterious circumstances.
More material to be added
CCTG (Campus California Teachers Group) is a used clothes enterprise operated by the Teachers Group from an address in Richmond, California. While technically a charity, it is linked to the TG’s highly-profitable used clothes trading system. Until recently it operated as a private college in Etna, California, but this closed down in mysterious circumstances in December 2009.
CCTG’s collection of clothing donations from the public without an accompanying ‘educational’ program almost certainly contravenes its license to operate in California as a not-for-profit. Tvind Alert has made a complaint to the State of California.
THE CLOSURE OF CCTG COLLEGE
According to informants, CCTG college in Etna, Ca suddenly closed in December 2009 due to a severe flood. Would-be ‘development instructor’ students have since then been directed to other Teachers Group ‘schools’ in the USA – IICD Michigan and IICD Massachusetts. In spring 2010, the building was put up for sale at $229,000 and it has now been sold.
In fact, there is evidence to suggest that the closure and sale of CCTG was planned. In October of 2009, CCTG submitted forms to the IRS informing it of a change of address from Etna to Richmond, California. Two months later came the ‘flood’ which forced the college to close. We can speculate that CCTG and the Teachers Group may have made a financial gain from the closure. The event certainly fits in with a pattern of other Teachers Group businesses abruptly closing or filing for bankruptcy (see for example the story of EC Trading).
CCTG opened as a college around 2000. We have on file many accounts from ex-students of poor quality ‘training’, low grade facilities, bullying and cult-like activity, and improper street fundraising.
CURRENT ACTIVITY – CLOTHES COLLECTION
CCTG is currently (October 2010) operating as a ‘charity’ used-clothes collector from an industrial park at 1081 Essex Ave, Richmond, Calif, 94801. If it is solely collecting clothes and there is no longer any ‘educational’ program associated with its work, CCTG is likely to be in breach of its licence.
