1995 (merger of previous Tvind companies)
A very major Tvind agro-business company, running 20 farms in nine countries, mainly in central and south America, and big fruit trading operations. Its most important enterprises are Fazenda Jatoba in Brazil (the plantation at the heart of the Danish police investigation), Hacienda Italia in Ecuador, and Monkey River Estate in Belize. It has also 'bought into' U'SAgain, the Tvind used-clothes company based in the USA. Undoubtedly a major source of Tvind revenue. Fairbank, Cooper and Lyle Ltd was formed in 1995 by the merger in 1995 of three previous companies, Fairbank Ltd, Cooper Investments and Lyle Enterprises. All three companies are cited as central to the Teachers Group treasury in the Danish police documents.
