Yes -t here are many claims by former members, by academic experts and by cult watchdog organisations, that the Teachers Group is a cult:

The Teachers Group, usually under the name 'Tvind', is commonly listed as a cult or as organisation of concern by most of the major cult awareness organisations around the world.

Several books, many articles and a number of personal accounts make the same very specific allegation.
