Danish cult-leader Tvind/Humana in cell

Eindhovens Dagblad, Holland, 19th Feb 2002

LOS ANGELES - The Dane Amdi Petersen (63), leader of the cult-like organisation Tvind/Humana, has been arrested on an airport of Los Angeles, sundaynight.

The FBI arrested the cultleader when he was travelling from Africa to Mexico. Humana is known in Holland from the collecting of second-hand clothes.

The Danish police suspects Petersen and some other Tvind-leaders from fraud up to 75 million Danish
kroner (ten million euro). One of those suspects is Kirsten Larsen, who is connected to a Tvind-company with an accommodation-adress on Jersey, in which disappeared 500.000 guilders from Humana Holland in 2000.

Tvind is a worldwide web of foundations, schools, treeplantations and firms. Some Dutch town halls have ended the relationship with Humana because of serious doubts about what Humana does with the money from the clothes collection.

Danish journalists traced the hiding place of Petersen last year at a paradise for millionairs near Miami. The cultleader at that time hadn't been seen in public for 22 years.
