Amdi Petersen fraud trial.

Witness: humanitarian projects were nothing but deceit

January 15th:   A former member of Tvind's Teachers Group has testified in court that she regularly requested money on behalf of Tvind's 'humanitarian fund', even though she knew the development projects would never receive any of it.

In fact, Dorthe Arp had accepted that her work for Tvind outside in the Third World was nothing less than a big deceit. Dorthe Arp declared this in the court case against alleged Tvind-leader Amdi Petersen and seven other members of the Teachers Group. Days before her testimony another former member of  the Teachers Group testified that Petersen indeed is the leader of the TG, as the prosecution claims.

Petersen himself says he is just an 'advisor'.

Court case in Belgium due to begin

After several delays the separate court case in Belgium against seven members of the Teachers Group is due to start on February 5th. The Brussels case - which involves another five senior members of the Teachers Group as well as two charged in the Danish case -  is about charges of 5 million euro money laundering. Some of the TG-members work mostly in Holland for Tvind's clothing recycling companies.

Tvind Alert reaches 100,000

Just before the end of 2003 Tvind Alert passed the magic border of 100.000 hits. The number of subsribers worldwide to this free update is about one thousand.

A message to publishers

Over three years the people behind Tvind Alert have gathered more than enough information for a dramatic and highly readable book on guru Mogens Amdi Petersen and the financial system of the worldwide Tvind organisation  -  now backed up by the Danish police case.

Despite the efforts of a leading firm of London agents, publishers have so far rejected our proposed book as 'too complicated',  'too obscure', 'too Scandinavian' - and perhaps 'too fantastic to be true'.   We know we have a fantastic story to tell.  Therefore we are looking for a publisher who would like to share this challenge with us.   Any takers?

See here below how to contact Tvind Alert.

ABOUT TVIND ALERT

Tvind Alert is not a 'hate' page, but a website devoted to researching and sharing a full range of information about the Humana People-to-People movement, Tvind and its creator, Amdi Petersen, in the light of allegations of financial corruption and the claim that it is a secular cult.

We recognise the good intentions of Tvind volunteers and generally support all those who have become involved with Tvind in the belief that they are doing good. Unfortunately without further resources we are unable to guarantee a detailed reply to every request for advice or help. We receive dozens of messages every month. The information posted on Tvind Alert is carefully researched and is intended to assist individuals, parents, schools, local authorities and charities (and even government departments) in deciding whether or not to support Tvind. However we always welcome further information that can be used to build up the dossier on the website.

We welcome offers of assistance, expertise or financial aid to help make this website a leader in the field of investigative journalism.
