Second Hand (Link with Tvind uncertain)
Holland House is the overall Tvind trading company. They also have offices
Although Romania is just a small part of the Holland House, I would like to tell a bit about a finding I made this Summer. - In Romania, the only profit making trade is second hand clothing. In Bucuresti I found, on a holiday trip this Summer, that in that capital there are, according to a well informed taxi driver, 36 big second hand shops, all of them called SECOND HAND. They carry all almost the same logo as UFF / Humana: Yellow-black signs, and with the same letter type.
However, in charge of the shops (I visited six of them) there seems to be an Arabic organisation. All shop leaders are Arabs. BUT They knew about Holland House, and told me that they got clothes from Canada, Belgium and Scandinavia. More they would not tell me - they got suspicious about me, and I found it more safe to leave the place. I am not able to prove a link between the Romanian SECONDHAND and Holland House/Tvind. I have the address of the Holland House office over there, but I have kept it by myself until now.
For at least 7 years, Tvind has had en office in Bucuresti. In charge: Jane Nielsen. Jobs;: Selling sec.hand clothes, developing into other E.Europ.countries. For instance,
there have been a number of meetings in Bratislava, in order to organise more sellings etc. - and no doubt: Getting hold of new participants for the Danish etc. Tvind schools.

Last year I noticed a number of, according to a cab-driver, 36 second hand shops in Bucuresti, named Second Hand, with the well - known Humana yellow-black looking signs, but I could not prove a direct link from the shops to Tvind. Perhaps a good job for a keen journalist.
Jane Nielsen is kind of part of the Bucuresti borugoisie, at least as a member of a tennis club with its posh people attending. But she liveds there with a couple of cats in an apartment linked to the office (see above).
