THE TANGLED WEB HE WEAVES. In a 1995 letter to his followers, Amdi Petersen set forth his goal of hiding the Teachers Group (TG) financial network from authorities by laying down “a twisted access path with only ourselves as compass holders.”

Now, Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting has published a list of people, organizations and relationships mapping the flow of American taxpayer funding obtained by U.S.-based Planet Aid to Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) in southern Africa, and then to a TG private trust in Switzerland.

When Reveal News visited U.S. Department of Agriculture programs in Malawi, it found that “taxpayers ended up paying for charitable projects with questionable results.”
