Tvind opens clothes store in Czech Republic?
Oct 2003: We are informed by a reader that Tvind no longer runs any clothes shop in the Czech Republic
August 2003: PS, a Tvind Alert contact, says a Russian volunteer 'trainee manager' has been despatched to open a second hand clothes store in the Czech Republic.
PS writes: "Did you know that Humana was training "managers" from countries of the former USSR. in Tvind. They were not given visas so then they had to return to Russia. After a while I got an email from one of them that I knew well and he told me they had been sent to Czech Rep. to open a store. All during that time they were under the supervsion of Marcus Kozok, the "teacher" who was appointed to take over the Tvind school after Anne Lausen "retired". "

Volunteers stories

Kamila, a Czech student, found some posters in Prague and paid around 17.000 DKK (Danish krone) to train at Tvind in Denmark...... "But I heard that they don't want Czech people anymore because "...they make lots of problems...." or translated to my language they are too nosy, they ask a lot and want to know what's going on with the money etc...
I have to inform you about Tvind´s activities in Slovakia (and possibly in the Czech Republic, too.).....In my opinion, Central and Eastern European countries provide quite a good base for Tvind/Humana to recruit new volunteers. First, almost nothing is known about the organization in these locations..... I consider it important for you to also focus on this geographic area as a potential high-risk sphere of Tvind´s interests.
