Gaia's claims


On the side of Gaia boxes in the US and Green World Recycling boxes in the UK is a large poster headed "The Gaia-Movement Trust Living Earth Green World Action", and emblazoned with a Swiss flag.

The poster declares that the money from selling donated clothes is used for a fantastic variety of environmental projects, from protecting the barrier reef to running nature reserves.

When Tvind Alert investigated Green World in Britain in 2000, we were unable to confirm any environmental charity work, but instead the trail led to a Swiss financial trust at an accommodation address.      There was no evidence of charity work.

It has since turned out that the person who owned the address, Michael Rogers, is a controversial British-born lawyer who is alleged to have acted for companies linked to al-Quaida......
